GRIOT ERG Cultural Programming

As an Art Director, I partnered with Edelman’s GRIOT ERG to concept and design a series of visual assets supporting cultural programming that celebrates and uplifts the Black experience. Working with Matt Wedderburn, another art director and designer, we were able to create work rooted in honoring the richness of Black history, identity, and creative expression—drawing inspiration from movements like the Harlem Renaissance and contemporary cultural moments.

Utilizing this visual direction across event branding, digital invitations, and internal communications, we developed a design system that felt both celebratory and intentional. This included bold typography, textured color palettes, and collage-inspired compositions featuring influential Black figures and community-driven imagery. Each asset was crafted to feel vibrant, culturally resonant, and distinctly rooted in storytelling.

The goal was to create work that not only informed, but also fostered pride, connection, and visibility within the organization. By centering Black voices, artistry, and businesses, the campaign helped drive engagement and create meaningful moments of cultural recognition across the Edelman community.
